KARACHI: The Majlis-i-Wahdatul Muslimeen has strongly condemned the UAE’s move to recognise Israel on Monday and urged the Arab world to review their relations with the two countries.
In a statement MWM chief Allama Raja Nasir Abbas said that the UAE and their “backdoor relations” were exposed by the recent move across the world.
“Neither the UAE nor any other country has the right to accept the Israeli occupation of Palestinian land in the name of peace,” he said. “The United States President Donald Trump must remember that Muslim ummah and Palestinians would never give up their struggle for the Palestinian cause. Over 220 million people of Pakistan and the Muslim world have rejected the diplomatic ties between Israel and UAE.”
He vowed to support the Palestinians’ demand for an independent state of Palestine in the entire pre-1948 territory of Palestine. He lauded those Muslim states which played an active role to support the legitimate struggle for the liberation of Palestine with Al Quds as its capital.
About Israeli government’s plan to annex parts of the West Bank under a coalition deal between Benjamin Netanyahu and Benny Gantz, Allama Abbas said the move would be a blatant violation of international law, which would unleash wrath of not only the Palestinians and Muslims across the globe, but also that of every fair-minded and principled human being.
