Virus cases can increase if SOPs are ignored in Muharram, warns NCOC

The National Command and Control Centre (NCOC) has warned that the country may witness another spike in Covid-19 cases if standard operating procedures laid out for Muharram are not followed, Radio Pak reported.

During a meeting of the NCOC, Minister for Religious Affairs Nurul Haq Qadri said "comprehensive protocols and health guidelines" were being laid out for Muharram processions in consultations with the ulema.
