Former jockey Mushtaq dies

KARACHI, Sept 17: Former jockey turned horse trainer, Mushtaq Muhammad died of heart failure in Australia early on Friday morning. He was 45.

According to his father Sher Muhammad who is also a veteran jockey, the body is being flown in to the city tonight and will be buried at Mewa Shah Graveyard on Sunday at 10.am.

The deceased who served as a jockey for a long time at Karachi Race Club (KRC) had won the prestigious Quaid-e-Azam Gold Cup in 1992. He was serving in Australia as a horse-trainer since last three years.
