GUJRAT, Sept 17: The Lalamusa city police have failed to trace the men who intercepted a UN vehicle near fruit market and searched it. A source told this correspondent here on Saturday that a UN vehicle was on way to Sialkot from Rawalpindi when two vehicles bearing registration number LXC-4023 and LOJ-7410 intercepted it on Thursday. Around eight armed men came out of the two vehicles and they thoroughly searched the UN vehicle.

When the UN mission men asked them about their identity, they introduced themselves as officials of a secret agency.

The source claimed that nothing was found from the UN vehicle.

On the other hand, a rumour regarding seizure of a huge quantity of drugs from the UN vehicle spread in the area.

Some UN officials, led by Havaldar Maqbool, on Saturday visited the Lalamusa city police station where they met SHO Mohammad Anwar. When contacted, the SHO confirmed that the incident and the visit of UN officials. He said police would soon find the men.
