Planning Minister Asad Umar has urged provincial governments to ensure people follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and precautionary measures for curbing the spread of the coronavirus during Eidul Azha, according to Radio Pakistan.

Chairing a meeting of the National Command and Operation Centre, he stated that necessary steps should be taken for establishing cattle markets.

He warned that any carelessness in observing precautionary measures during Eidul Azha may lead to a fresh spike in coronavirus cases. Ensuring and protecting public health is the government's top priority, he said.
