Punjab has reported 565 cases in the last 24 hours, according to the government's Covid-19 portal, taking the provincial total to 86,556. Punjab last reported less than 600 cases on June 29 when it recorded 576 fresh cases.

The province's death toll has risen to 2,006 after 21 additional fatalities were confirmed. More than 55,000 people have recovered from the virus in Punjab.
