Two villagers injured in Indian firing

SIALKOT, Jan 18: Two villagers sustained serious injuries in firing by Indian troops on bordering villages near the Sialkot working boundary early Friday morning.

Official sources said Rasheed Ahmad in Pendora village of the Bajwat sector and Ghulam Rasul in Charwa sector were milking their cows when bullets hit them. They received serious wounds and were admitted to the Sialkot CMH.

SHOT DEAD: Two brothers on Thursday night were shot dead by their five rivals due to bad blood in Ferozekey Nagra village, Pasrur tehsil.

Liaquat Ali and Basharat Ali were asleep at their outhouse when Ghulam Rasul, Javaid, Abdul Ghani, Faiz and Basharat came there and opened fire on them, killing both of them instantly.

HOUSE LOOTED: Four unidentified dacoits looted ornaments, cash and valuables worth Rs750,000 from a house in Green Wood Street, Hajipura, here late Thursday night.

Armed bandits barged into Muhammad Arif’s house and made the inmates hostage. They scooped cash and valuables and decamped with the booty.

Hajipura police have instituted a case.
