PPP MNA Shazia Marri has pointed out in the National Assembly that a parliamentary committee constituted on March 26 regarding Covid-19 has not met in two months.

She recommended that the body's meetings should be held on a daily basis where experts' opinions are obtained and a "comprehensive strategy" is formulated to fight the virus outbreak.

Marri said the government must follow the World Health Organisation's recommendations and bring transparency in its data collection if it wants to curb the spread of the disease.
