Doctors in Turkey use Turkish ray therapy on Covid-19 patient
Turkish doctors have applied the Turkish ray therapy method (TurkishBeam) for Covid-19 treatment on a patient in southeastern Turkey, Anadolu Agency reported.
It was applied to a 46-year-old male patient, cardiovascular surgeon Hikmet Selcuk Gedik at Ankara’s Gazi University said at a news conference that was attended by Diyarbakır Provincial Health Director Cihan Tekin and Diyarbakır Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital head physician Erkan Baysal.
Gedik announced earlier this month, a clinical study for the therapy developed by Turkish scientists to treat viral diseases, including Covid-19, according to developer RD Global INVAMED.
“Clinical study process, which allows implementation on patients, has started for the TurkishBeam treatment method after its application to the [Turkish] Health Ministry was approved,” Gedik said in a statement.
