Gilgit-Baltistan's (GB) Minister for Agriculture Haji Janbaz Khan has passed away due to the novel coronavirus, according to the focal person for GB's health department, Dr Shah Zaman.

"Khan was hospitalised after testing positive for Covid-19 and had been on a ventilator for the last four days," Zaman said.

Khan belonged to PML-N and was elected to the GB Assembly multiple times.
