PCB chairman predicts ICC events scheduled in 2020 will be held next year

Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Ehsan Mani has said that he sees International Cricket Council (ICC) events scheduled to be held in 2020 happening next year due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Addressing a conference through video link, Mani said that the ICC would take a decision on holding its scheduled events after consulting all stakeholders and it was expected to be announced within three to four weeks.

He added that if the coronavirus situation in the country did not improve by December, the Board would have to decide about the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League. Domestic cricket tournaments could also be delayed due to the pandemic. "We will not compromise on the health of any cricketer or stakeholder," he said.
