Wall Street stocks fell in opening trading following a fresh coronavirus outbreak in China and increased case counts in some US states that raised doubts about the economic recovery, according to AFP.

About 15 minutes into trading, the Dow Jones Industrial Average had lost 2.2 per cent at 25,050.30.The broad-based S&P 500 shed 1.7pc to 2,989.35, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite Index fell 1.2pc to 9,473.36.
