Punjab has recorded 2,514 new cases of the coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the government's Covid-19 portal, taking the provincial tally to 52,601.

It has also reported 31 more fatalities, taking the death toll to 969.

The total number of recovered people in the province has risen to 17,650, according to the portal.
