KARACHI, Sept 11: Sindh Chief Minister Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim has declared that like the recently held local bodies polls, the election of nazims in the province would also be conducted in a fair and transparent manner. In a statement here on Saturday, he also warned that stern action would be taken against those indulging in “horse-trading”.
He said the provincial government would organise these polls in a free and fair manner and if any candidate of nazim forcibly kept the councillors, such incidents would be treated as ‘kidnapping’ of councillors.
He also asked the candidates to desist from coercing as well as offering inducements to councillors.—APP
