Balochistan government spokesperson Liaquat Shahwani has said that the percentage of women contracting Covid-19 has increased from 21pc to 24 pc.

He blamed men for the rise in the infection rate, saying that as offices and educational institutions were closed, most women were at home. "It is us (men) who are taking corona inside our homes," Shahwani said in a media talk.

About 7pc of the patients in the province were children, he said and added that the average age group of infected people was between 21-40 years.
