The University of Health Sciences (UHS) in Lahore has announced that it will provide free Android tablets to deserving students from public medical and dental colleges to enable digital learning during the Covid-19 outbreak.
According to a press release issued, the decision was taken during a meeting presided over by UHS Vice Chancellor Javed Akram. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the virus had wasted four months of students' time. He urged medical colleges to implement e-learning without wasting anymore time.
"There are subjects which can be taught through online classes. For clinical training, we must have contingency plans," he emphasised.
