Buckling under the business community’s pressure and to "keep the economy running", the Punjab government has allowed the opening of all markets, bazaars, shopping malls and other businesses five days a week with longer working hours.

Traders are to observe the following measures:

• Ensure all customers are wearing masks

• Ensure all customers have sanitised their hands

Parks, recreational centres and restaurants will remain closed.
