A female doctor died at a private hospital in Lahore after testing positive for Covid-19, the Punjab health department has confirmed.

According to the health department, Dr Sana Fatima was admitted to a private hospital on May 20 after contracting the respiratory illness.

Punjab has reported 29 deaths today, the highest death toll so far, the health department said, adding that majority of the cases were being reported in Lahore.
