Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister's adviser Ajmal Wazir has told people to observe precautions on Eidul Fitr by staying at home and social distancing.
"I always say, coronavirus comes [home] with us. It transfers to our children, our families," he said during a press conference.
Wazir acknowledged that the number of deaths recorded in KP was higher compared to other provinces, but added that the province's recovery rate was 31 per cent.
He also detailed resources designated for infected patients, saying that currently there were 200 isolation centres with a capacity of 5,598 beds, in KP. More than 550 ventilators had been reserved for Covid-19 patients, he added.
