Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr Zafar Mirza has urged the medical community to volunteer for the PM's Tele Health Portal.

Speaking at the launch ceremony alongside Prime Minister Imran Khan and Digital Pakistan's Tania Aidrus, he said: "Around 70 to per cent of our female doctors don't practice.

"They should participate in this [...] they can do it from their homes," he said, adding that the initiative will also help people living in rural areas gain access to healthcare.

"I appeal to medical community to register for this and become part of the national response [to Covid-19]," he said.
