Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister's assistant Ajmal Wazir has said that "in light of the Supreme Court's order [...] all retail shops that were closed from Friday to Sunday, will be opened until Eid and a formal notification has been issued".

In a press conference, he clarified that the decision was taken after the top court issued an order regarding the matter. Furthermore, bakeries and home deliveries will be allowed to operate after 5pm.

He told people that the government will lift more restrictions if standard operating procedures are followed.
