The number of coronavirus cases in occupied Jammu and Kashmir has surpassed 1,100 in the region’s highest single-day spike to date.
The overall count has risen to 1,121 after 108 more people, including 12 pregnant women, tested positive for virus over the past 24 hours, Anadolu Agency reported.
One more fatality raised the death toll to 12, while recoveries stand at 542.
According to a government update, 76,191 people have been tested for Covid-19 in the region so far, and 109,092 are under observation.
