GUJAR KHAN: As many as 58 Pakistanis arrived from Iraq have been quarantined at the cadet college Dina on Saturday.

Jhelum deputy commissioner told Dawn that a special flight PK-710 brought 257 passengers from Iraq on Saturday of them 58 passengers were directly transferred to cadet college Dina from the Islamabad airport.

He said the passengers were shifted to district Jhelum as quarantine centres in Rawalpindi district ran out of space.

He further said these passengers were working in the oil and gas fields in Iraq and were stranded in Iraq since the pandemic arose.

While talking to Dawn Dr Foroque Bangash told that the test samples of the passengers would be collected on Sunday to initiate the screening process.

He further told that the total number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Jhelum district had reached 150 while 121 have completely recovered while 26 were under treatment and three have lost their lives.
