Sindh govt spends $6m to procure medical equipment, machinery
Sindh government has spent around $6 million for imports and procurement of key medical equipment, including ventilators, to improve the capacity of its healthcare system in order to meet the coronavirus challenge and enhance its treatment facilities, which have been under serious criticism from its political opponents and experts.
According to officials and sources, an amount of $4m has already been spent for placing orders to import different equipment and healthcare machinery while the spending pertaining to the remaining $2m has also been approved by the authorities.
