LAHORE, Sept 6: The PPP, the PML-N and the MMA set up a coordination committee on Tuesday to work out a strategy to make the Friday strike a success. The committee comprises Samiullah Khan, Zakariya Butt, Tahir Khaleeq (PPP), Mian Marghoob (PML-N) and Amirul Azeem (MMA).

The meeting was held at the residence of Lahore PPP president Haji Azizur Rehman Chan. The participants discussed the names of various candidates for the district and town nazims of Lahore. However, no final decision could be taken. The meeting would be held again on Wednesday.
