President Arif Alvi and Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa separately telephoned National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser to inquire about his health, his spokesperson has said.

Both the president and army chief also wished Qaiser — who tested positive for the coronavirus on April 30 — a speedy recovery.

The NA speaker is under treatment at a private hospital since yesterday, his spokesperson added.
