Pakistan moves up to 20th spot on John Hopkins' list of most-affected countries

Pakistan has been ranked by the John Hopkins University as the 20th most-affected country by the novel coronavirus as the number of cases in the country rises beyond 29,000.

In terms of deaths, Pakistan occupies the 27th spot. So far, Pakistan has recorded 648 casualties from Covid-19.

As the number of cases and casualties rises, the government is looking to ease restrictions in lockdown in order to minimise economic impact.
