Sindh education minister Saeed Ghani has urged the people to cooperate with the government as the provinces move towards easing the lockdown imposed to curb the spread of the coronavirus.

Speaking to Geo News, he said: "Our numbers are still increasing but the premier thinks that we need to lift the lockdown to encourage economic activity. Therefore, we will have to ensure that the situation does not worsen.

"It is the responsibility of the people to do so. No government or department can fight this pandemic, the people need to cooperate," he said.
