About 2,459 Pakistanis have been flown back to the country between May 1-5 under the fourth phase of the government's repatriation programme, a Foreign Office statement said.
According to the FO statement, six special PIA flights have brought back 1,122 overseas Pakistanis from Dubai, 111 from Bahrain, 252 from Qatar, 221 from Kenya, 252 from Sudan, 273 from United Kingdom, 40 from Sri Lanka, 132 from South Korea and 56 from five European countries including Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Hungary and Switzerland.
Additionally, 193 Pakistanis have been repatriated from India through the Wagah border.
A total of 19,329 people, including 762 members of the Tableeghi Jamat and 868 prisoners, have been brought back to Pakistan from March 21 to May 6, the statement said.
