The State Bank of Pakistan has issued a statement saying it will not issue fresh banknotes for Eidul Fitr to the public and current as well as former employees in light of the coronavirus situation.

"All chief managers are advised to disseminate these instructions to all concerned officials for information and meticulous compliance," the statement read.
