The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa health department has issued new guidelines for burying the bodies of Covid-19 patients and those suspected of suffering from the respiratory illness.

In a notification, the provincial health department has directed all mortuary staff and the deceased's relatives to wear personal protective equipment while washing the body.

It has also directed citizens to refrain from touching the body and advised all those attending the funeral to wear a mask.
