Kohat Assistant Commissioner Furqan Ashraf has tested positive for Covid-19, according to a statement by the district health department.

Ashraf's brother has also tested positive for the respiratory illness. The statement added that both the patients are self-isolating at their home.

Kohat Deputy Commissioner Abdur Rehman confirmed the news, adding that Ashraf had been working on the frontlines against the virus and was overseeing arrangements at quarantine centres.
