446 of the 622 coronavirus cases recorded in Sindh during the last 24 hours were reported from Karachi, the city's biggest single-day jump in confirmed infections so far.

Karachi now has 4,873 cases of Covid-19, making up over a quarter of Pakistan's total tally of 17,611 cases.
