The emergency department of the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) — one of Karachi's biggest public hospitals — has reopened after being disinfected, according to police surgeon Dr Muhammad Saleem.

The emergency department had been sealed a day earlier after a chief medical officer had tested positive for the virus.
