Minister for Industries Hammad Azhar has announced that his ministry has proposed a relief package amounting to Rs75 billion for daily wagers, labourers and lower-income people who have lost their income due to the lockdown.

Addressing a press conference, he said that under the package, Rs12,000 will be doled out to 4-6 million families, which were not counted in the government's Emergency Cash Programme.
