Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan has announced that personal protective equipment (PPEs) will be provided to journalists and media personnel from 25 TV channels.

Addressing a press conference, Awan said that journalists are also working on the frontlines and need protection.

"Our first priority was the safety of doctors and medical workers. In the first phase, we gave protective equipment to them. We are starting the second phase today and at least two cameramen from the 25 top TV channels will be given protective equipment to begin with," she said.
