A senior doctor at the Hayatabad Medical Complex in Peshawar has passed away of Covid-19, the hospital's director Shehzad Faisal has confirmed.

According to the director, Dr Mohammad Javed — who was an ENT specialist — had been diagnosed vith the virus a week ago and was on ventilator.

"He had been fighting on the front lines to combat the coronavirus," the director added.
