KHAIRPUR, Jan 17: At least 15 people were arrested by the Bradi Jatoi police in the katcha area, Kingri Taluka, on Wednesday night.

Two groups of the Mangneja tribe were having a dispute over land in the katcha area. One group forcibly tried to take possession of the land, which the other group resisted. Soon a fight started.

Police intervened and arrested 15 tribesmen. The names of only eight could be ascertained: Eidan, Sanaullah, Waseem, Abdul Rehman, Shaman, Ghulam Mustafa, Malook, and Zooq.

ARREST: The Khairpur District police arrested seven accused during the last 24 hours from various places.

The Pir Jo Goth police arrested an accused, Ghulam Nabi Arejo, under section 379 and 427 PPC.

The Gambat police arrested two alleged absconders, Bhagial Ujjan and Ali Hassan, who were wanted under section 302 PPC.

The Ahmedpur police arrested three alleged absconders — Karim Bux Jagirani, Rahim Dino Jagirani and Mumtaz Ali Chachar.

The Sadiq Kalhoro police arrested Hamaz Ali Narejo for harbouring an alleged dacoit, Hota Narejo.
