Ninety-eight members of National Assembly (MNAs) have signed a letter rejecting the proposal to conduct a virtual session of the parliament.

They asked that a session in the National Assembly building should be convened.

According to the letter, which was submitted to Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser, the session will discuss

• The government's efforts to deal with the coronavirus pandemic
• Financial oversight of aid money and concessions received by the government
• The legal status of the Corona Tigers Relief Force
• Actions taken after the federal investigation agency's report on sugar and wheat crises

Other agenda items will also be discussed. The letter highlighted that the NA building has "sufficient space to hold the session while observing the two-metre social distancing guidelines".
