According to a new ordinance, hoarders will be slapped with a prison sentence of up to three years in addition to a fine amounting to the value of 50 per cent of the hoarded items, all of which will be confiscated by the government, SAPM Firdous Ashiq Awan said.

She added that any member of the public who reports the crime will be given 10pc of the fine collected by the government.
