PPP leader Murtaza Wahab and President Arif Alvi's son Awab Alvi got into a heated argument on Twitter after the latter accused the Sindh government of engaging in "petty politics" over the coronavirus crisis.

Awab had shared a tweet by Wahab regarding the inauguration of a BSL 3 laboratory in JPMC, in which the PPP leader said: "Its (sic) very clear that PTI nominees make hollow promises & Sindh Govt actually delivers."

Awab called the tweet an "example of petty politics", leading Wahab to question the authenticity of a recent statement by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail.

"U guys continue with ur false promises & when we just set the record straight u feel offended (sic). It takes two to tango my friend," Wahab said.

In response to Awab's questions about the PCR machines provided to Sindh by the National Disaster Management Authority, Wahab advised him to "check & then tweet".

"Let me say that only ur father has been proactive from FG (federal government)," Wahab said.
