Lahore High court Chief Justice Qasim Khan has discarded an appeal seeking to end the lockdown in Punjab.

Saying that ending the lockdown is the government's prerogative, Khan fined the Traders' Association — the filers of the appeal — Rs50,000.

The association was fined under the Land Revenue Act for filing frivolous appeals to gain popularity.
