PESHAWAR, Sept 2: Welcoming the first ever meeting between foreign ministers of Pakistan and Israel (in Istanbul), Secretary-General Peshawar High Court Bar Association Astaghfirullah Khan has hoped that it will pave the way for Pakistan’s relations with Israel.

In a press release issued here on Friday, he said that the meeting was a breakthrough. It would prove to be ‘a milestone in strengthening the entire Muslim community and help settle the Palestinian dispute’.

He was of the opinion that they were unable to advance or ‘defend’ the Palestinian cause for want of diplomatic relations with Israel.

He said that Pakistan had earned the enmity of Israel ‘just for nothing’ and ‘the reality should be accepted’ by the Pakistani people.
