UK announces £2.67 million package to help Pakistan combat Covid-19

The United Kingdom has announced a £2.67 million package to help Pakistan combat the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to a statement, the package will help people in 27 districts across all provinces of Pakistan. The funds will help "build stronger systems to detect and test for Covid-19, and support communities to have the right information to protect themselves and others," the statement added.

The British High Commissioner to Pakistan Dr Christian Turner assured that the "UK stands shoulder-to-shoulder with our friends in Pakistan at this difficult time."
