The Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) has screened over 5,000 patients, out of which 619 patients were tested for the novel coronavirus, the hospital's public relations officer Liaquat Ali said.

He added that 154 patients had tested positive for the virus and most of them were advised to self-isolate at home as they had mild symptoms. About 250 people tested negative, while results of the remaining tests were awaited.

Currently, seven patients are admitted in SIUT's isolation ward while six are on ventilators under intensive care, he said. The hospital discharged three patients, who experienced severe symptoms and had to be kept in the ICU, after they recovered and tested negative.
