KARACHI, Sept 1: Muttahida Qaumi Movement chief Altaf Hussain has expressed grief over the death of over 1,000 people in Baghdad in a stampede on Wednesday.

In a statement issued here on Thursday, Altaf Hussain, calling the incident a great tragedy, said Muttahida workers and all Pakistanis shared the grief with victims’ families and Iraqi nation.

The Muttahida chief prayed for the dead.—APP
