Karachi Commissioner Iftikhar Shalwani has denied reports that localities in Defence Housing Authority or Clifton are being sealed off. Senior Superintendent of Police (South) also rubbished the reports.

The commissioner confirmed that Carrefour, Dolmen City Mall, has been closed.

Rumours have been circulating on social media that DHA Phases V and VI and Clifton Cantt Board would be sealed off along with localities in Karachi's East district.
