Minister for Religious Affairs Noorul Haq Qadri says the Saudi authorities are expected to announce a decision about whether Haj will take place this year or not by the 15th of Ramazan.

He told reporters that the Saudi government is considering various options about restricting the Haj this year in view of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Saudi authorities have advised against finalising monetary agreements with aspiring pilgrims for now, Qadri added.
