HYDERABAD, Aug 31: The second additional district judge has granted pre-arrest bail to candidates of the Awam Dost panel in an attempted murder case in a sum of Rs50,000. Applicants Syed Ali Mohammad Shah, former UC Zair Peer nazim and his brother Ehsan Ali Shah, were represented by Madad Ali Shah advocate.
The case was lodged at the New Saeedabad police following an incident at Ghulam Mohammad Bagrani polling station in Matiari district. The counsel argued that there was a delay of one day in registration of FIR and it was just an allegation against applicants.
He argued that the case was lodged to prevent applicants from contesting the third phase of elections in the district by local administration and police. The court granted interim pre-arrest bail and fixed September 10 for confirmation.
