The district health officer of Malir has directed authorities to close outpatient departments in all public and private hospitals and clinics in the district after authorities noted that the number of Covid-19 cases reported from Gulistan Society, Quaidabad and its surrounding areas had risen to nine.

The order will come into effect from April 6.
